How it works
What happens on each run, in plain English.
Whenever a new email arrives in the connected Gmail inbox, the AI reads what the candidate wrote - the covering note, the signature, a CV pasted into the message - and pulls out their details: name, email, phone, location, the role they are applying for, current title and employer, years of experience, key skills, education, links, availability and a two-sentence summary. Those become one row in your Google Sheet, and a short card in your Slack channel tells the team who applied, with links to the email and to the sheet.
Everything in the row comes out of the email. A detail the email does not give is left empty and listed in the Notes column, never guessed. The AI is told to extract, not to judge, and not to record age, gender, ethnicity or anything else unrelated to the work. Attachments are not opened, so an application that is only a PDF still gets a row and a card from the envelope, noting that the CV is in the attachment. Out-of-office replies and bounces are dropped by keyword, and the AI skips anything that is clearly not an application, recording why in the run log.
Before the first run, give the sheet this header row: Received, Name, Email, Phone, Location, Role applied for, Current title, Current employer, Years of experience, Key skills, Education, Links, Availability, Summary, Subject, Gmail link, Notes. Then paste the sheet's link into 'spreadsheetUrl' and pick the Slack channel.
