What it does
Each integration step this workflow runs, in order, what it is for, and the conditions and loops that decide when it runs.
- 1
Google SheetsNew row triggerStarts when a request row is added to the Time off tab and reads its start and end dates the way a person writes them. - 2
Google SheetsUpdate rowSets the row's Status to Approved or Declined. - 3
GmailSendEmails the employee the outcome and the dates.
How it works
What happens on each run, in plain English.
Time off requests get lost in chat and nobody records the answer. When a row is added to your Time off tab, the employee's manager is asked to approve or decline it, and the person who asked cannot approve their own request.
The row's Status becomes Approved or Declined and the employee is emailed. Your tab needs columns named Employee name, Employee email, Manager email, Start date, End date and Reason.
