What's New in Lodol: July

July 31, 2026·5 min read·By The Lodol Team

July was about the hours you spend inside Lodol: a new look, an editor that keeps your workflow in view and saves as you go, a place to talk a workflow through, and one place to see and stop everything that's running. And in the last week of the month, 94 new apps. Here's what we shipped, grouped by what it lets you do.

An editor built around your workflow

  • Edit beside the canvas. Click any step and edit it in a panel docked beside the canvas, while the workflow stays in view. As you fill in a new step, a faint preview shows where it will land, branches and loops included. The thinking behind it is in Designing a Canvas You Can Think In.
  • Conditions without code. Build an If / Else or a Repeat while from rows like amount is greater than 500, joined with AND and OR, with no expressions to write.
  • Saves as you go. Every change saves a moment after you make it, and the top bar says Saving, Saved or, if something goes wrong, Couldn't save with a Retry button. On paid plans, version history now sits in the editor's top bar.
  • Test beside the canvas. Run saves your latest changes and starts a run in a panel next to the canvas, with each step appearing as it finishes.
  • Names you'll recognize. Give any step's result a name, and rename it later without breaking the steps that use it. Text fields mix your own words with values, like Hi @first_name. And every action and setting in every integration now has a name and description written for people, not programmers.
  • Triggers set up in the editor. Choose which Slack channel to watch, or which Airtable table, Notion database or Google Sheet, and add filters like a Gmail sender or a Stripe payment's status, right where you build.

Talk it through on the workflow

Press C, click the canvas, and your comment is pinned beside the step it's about. Type @ to mention a teammate, and they get a notification that opens straight to the comment. Reply in the thread, resolve it when it's settled, and find every thread in the comments panel. Comments carry through every save and rollback, so the conversation about a workflow stays on the workflow.

See and stop everything that's running

  • What's running, from any page. A badge beside Runs in the sidebar counts the runs going right now, and Stop All Running halts every one of them when several things go wrong at once.
  • Failures that never go quiet. When a run fails, Lodol emails you and puts a notice in the app, and that email is on from the start. A failed app step now stops the run and shows the app's error.
  • History you can trust. A past run shows the version of the workflow that actually ran, even after the workflow has been edited or deleted. The whole story is in Mission Control for Every Automation You Run.
  • Notifications by email. Choose, event by event, what reaches you in the app and by email: invitations, role changes, a run finishing or failing, and being mentioned in a comment.
  • An Audit Log you can search. Filter it by category, action and who did it, over any date range, and downloads match exactly what's on screen.

More built-in steps

Two batches of Lodol's own steps, for the work between your apps. Filter list keeps the items that match a condition you build like an If / Else. Format number shows currency like $1,234.50. Extract from text pulls out email addresses, web addresses or numbers, and reads both 1,234.56 and 1.234,56. Stop workflow ends a run early as a success or a failure, with a message, and Repeat N times runs steps a set number of times. Plus date steps for adding time and measuring the gap between dates, a unique ID generator, and list and text steps from Combine two lists to Median. Date steps now use the workflow owner's time zone.

94 new apps, and an Integrations page that finds them

In one week Lodol added 94 apps. Among them: AI models and agents like Mistral AI, Cohere, Groq, Hugging Face and ElevenLabs; the form builders Google Forms, Typeform, Jotform, SurveyMonkey and Tally; email and outreach tools like Klaviyo, MailerLite and lemlist; developer and data tools like Sentry, Figma and MongoDB; and Square, Chargebee and PandaDoc.

The Integrations page was rebuilt alongside them. Search by what an app does, so Claude finds Anthropic and Email finds Gmail. Apps that need no account install in one click, and Google's apps, Spotify, Twitch and DocuSign now connect with a Connect button in your browser, instead of tokens copied by hand.

Easier to find your way around

  • A redesigned Workflows page. Every workflow shows a preview of its diagram, and you can narrow the list to the ones you've starred or a teammate made. Select several to copy them to another workspace, download them as one ZIP file, or delete them.
  • Lodol on your phone. On a narrow screen the sidebar becomes a drawer and wide tables scroll sideways, so you can check on a run from anywhere.
  • Make it yours. Choose from 11 accent colors and a light, dark or system theme, now covering every page, and your choices follow you to every device.
  • Pick the model. OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini steps let you pick the model from a list, and Claude's replies can now run to 128,000 tokens.

For developers

In the Developer API, a request that failed can be retried with the same Idempotency-Key, and reusing a key for a different request is refused with a clear error. Runs read through the API now include when they were created.
