Each recording comes with its distance from the point, or null for a restricted species whose location xeno-canto withholds.
• Get a random recordingDraw one recording at random from all that match a species, group, country, world area, sound type, quality rating or licence, such as a top rated bird song from Kenya for a daily post. Recordings of restricted species, whose audio is withheld, are passed over.
• Download a recordingDownload a recording's audio, the recordist's original MP3 or WAV file, as a file a later step can attach to an email, post to a chat or save to storage, with its details and citation. Files up to 50 MB; recordings of restricted species cannot be downloaded.
