Steps a workflow can run in TimeAPI.

  • Get the current time in a time zoneGet the date and time right now in any time zone: the local date, the clock time, the day of the week, the UTC offset, whether daylight saving time is on, and the same moment in UTC. Includes a ready-made sentence for a message. No API key required.
  • Get the current time at a locationFind the time zone of a place on the map from its latitude and longitude, and the date and time there right now. Out at sea the answer is the fixed zone for that longitude, such as Etc/GMT+11. No API key required.
  • Get the current time for an IP addressFind the time zone of a public IPv4 address, such as a website visitor's, and the date and time there right now. Useful for greeting people or scheduling in their local time. When TimeAPI can't place an address it answers with UTC. No API key required.
  • Get the current Unix timeGet the current Unix timestamp (time since 1 January 1970 in UTC) in seconds, milliseconds or microseconds, with the same moment as UTC text. Many APIs and databases want time in this form. No API key required.
  • List time zonesList the time zones TimeAPI knows (about 600), by their standard names such as America/New_York, which is what every time zone field takes. Narrow the list to a region or to names containing some text, such as a city. No API key required.
  • Get time zone detailsGet a time zone's details: its UTC offset now and in standard time, whether it uses daylight saving time, when that starts and ends, and its current local time. Find the zone by its name, by a latitude and longitude, or by a public IPv4 address. No API key required.
  • Convert a time to another time zoneConvert a date and time from one time zone to another, with daylight saving time taken into account on both sides: for example 14:00 in New York to the time in Tokyo. Returns the new date, time, day of the week and offset, and the same moment in UTC. No API key required.
  • Add or subtract timeAdd days, hours, minutes and seconds to a date and time, or subtract them, in a time zone: for example 3 days and 4 hours from now in Tokyo. Leave the start empty to start from the current time. Time is counted as it passes, so across a clock change the result's clock time shifts by the hour that was skipped or repeated. No API key required.
  • Get the day of the weekFind which day of the week a date falls on, its number in the week (1 for Monday to 7 for Sunday) and whether it's a weekend. No API key required.
  • Get the day of the yearFind which day of its year a date is (1 to 366), how many days that year has, how many are left after it, and whether it's a leap year. No API key required.
  • Translate a dateWrite a date and time out in words in another language, the way that language writes dates: for example Sonntag, 14. März 2021 17:45:00 in German. Returns the date and time together and each on its own. 134 languages are available. No API key required.
