Steps a workflow can run in ILOSTAT.

  • Search indicatorsFind ILOSTAT indicators by words in their names, topic and frequency, best match first, each with its id, unit, how often it is published, the years and number of countries it covers and what it is broken down by.
  • Get an indicatorGet what an ILOSTAT indicator measures: its definition, unit, topic and database, each series it is published in (yearly, quarterly, monthly) with its years, countries and last update, and the breakdowns it has, such as sex and age.
  • List an indicator's breakdownsList every value an ILOSTAT indicator can be broken down by besides sex, such as each age band, economic activity or currency, with the code to put in Breakdown and which value is the total used by default.
  • Get indicator dataGet one ILOSTAT indicator's values for some countries, or all of them, over a range of years: one row per country and period, newest first, with the source survey and ILOSTAT's notes. Totals unless a sex or breakdown is picked. Up to 10,000 rows.
  • Get a country's latest valueGet the most recent value of one ILOSTAT indicator for one country or region, returned flat so a later step can read the number directly, with its year, source and notes. A country with no value comes back with found set to false rather than failing the step. ILO modelled estimates run a year or two ahead, so their latest value is a projection.
  • Compare countriesRank countries on one ILOSTAT indicator in one year, or at each one's latest value: all of them or the ones you pick, highest or lowest first. Regions such as World can be ranked too, and countries asked for with no value are listed as missing.
  • List countries and regionsList the countries ILOSTAT has figures for, all or one ILO region or income group, with each one's code, region, income group, years covered and number of indicators, and optionally the regions and income groups it adds up, such as World.
