How it works

Everything the template sets up, and what to fill in before the first run.

Works down a spreadsheet of planned topics once a day. For each topic that has not been written yet, AI drafts the post body in your house style, the post is created in WordPress, and the topic, post ID and post link are recorded on a second tab of the same spreadsheet so the plan stays current.

Posts are created with the status 'draft', never published. Nothing written by AI goes live on your site until you have opened it in WordPress and pressed publish yourself.

Your plan tab needs a column headed Topic; each topic becomes the post title. An optional column headed Angle is passed to the writer as extra direction. Every other column is left alone - this workflow never writes to your plan tab.

The record of what has been drafted is what stops a re-run drafting the same topic twice, so it lives on its own tab ('Drafted Posts' by default, created on the first run) and is only ever appended to. A topic whose draft or WordPress call fails is left unrecorded and picked up on the next run.

Fill in 'planSpreadsheetUrl', 'planTabName' and 'audienceAndStyle' before the first run. 'maxNewDraftsPerRun' caps how many posts one run may write, so a long plan is worked through a few topics at a time.
