How it works
Everything the template sets up, and what to fill in before the first run.
Once a week this workflow reads a tracker spreadsheet, gathers every row that is not marked done, and posts them to a Slack channel as a single digest with a couple of sentences on what stands out - what is blocked, what is overdue, who is carrying the most.
It posts even when there is nothing open. A weekly digest that goes quiet is indistinguishable from one that has broken, so an empty week gets an explicit 'nothing open' message.
If the summary cannot be written the digest still goes out with the list intact and a note that the summary was unavailable - a missing paragraph is a smaller failure than a silent week. A row missing its Status or Task is skipped and logged rather than quietly shortening the list.
The tracker tab is expected to have Task, Owner and Status columns; anything whose status is not 'done' counts as open. To set it up, paste your spreadsheet URL and choose a Slack channel.
