How it works

Everything the template sets up, and what to fill in before the first run.

Paste your HTML into the 'htmlSource' step, name the file, say where it should go, and this workflow renders the markup as a PDF and emails you the finished file as an attachment.

The markup is sent to the renderer exactly as you wrote it. No model reads it, nothing is summarised, reformatted or tidied up - what you put in is what comes out, styling and all. External images and stylesheets are fetched by the renderer, so anything the page links to has to be reachable on the public web.

The renderer hands back a short-lived, signed download link rather than the file itself, so the workflow downloads the PDF immediately and attaches that copy. If the render produces no link, or the download fails, the run stops and nothing is emailed - you never get a message claiming a PDF that is not there. A download failure is reported with the reason but never the address, because that link carries a signature.

Set up the three steps at the top: 'htmlSource', 'pdfFileName' and 'sendTo'. Nothing else is required. Run it whenever you have HTML to turn into a document.
