How it works

Once a day this workflow reads each official page you have listed and files a Google Task for every new or amended rule that page describes, so a change in the rules becomes a piece of work you can see and tick off rather than a page you meant to check.
List your sources in a Google Sheet with two columns named exactly 'Source Name' and 'Page URL' - the regulator's updates or news page, a rule-change register, an official bulletin. Each page is fetched and read, and each change it describes becomes one task: the change's title and reference in the task title, and in the notes the source, the link, the reference as printed, the effective date, and a plain summary of what the change alters.
Two things it deliberately will not do. It summarises only what the page says - it never says whether a change applies to you, never recommends what to do about it, and never draws a legal conclusion. And it never invents a date: a task gets a due date only when the source itself states an effective date, and otherwise the notes say the date was not stated rather than guessing one.
Nothing is filed twice. Each task title carries the change's reference in a '[ref: ...]' marker, and before filing anything the workflow reads the tasks already in your list - completed ones as well as open ones - and skips any change whose marker is already there. Deleting a task is therefore what brings a change back.
To set it up: paste your sources spreadsheet link into the 'sourcesSheetUrl' step and type the name of an existing Google Tasks list into the 'taskListName' step. The 'sourcesTabName', 'maxSourcesPerRun' and 'maxChangesPerSource' steps have sensible defaults you can change. Reading the pages uses a Jina connection, and the summaries use Claude.
