What it does

The integration steps this workflow runs, in the order it first runs them.

How it works

Everything the template sets up, and what to fill in before the first run.

Drop the articles you have been meaning to read into the 'articleLinks' step, one web address per line, and run it. Each page is fetched and read, and what it argues is written up as a Notion page in the database you name: a short summary paragraph, up to six key points as a bulleted list, and a link back to the original. Your reading list stops being a pile of links and becomes notes you can search.

Set the 'readingFocus' step to what you are reading for and the summaries are written for that rather than in general.

The database is found by name, so the name in the 'notionDatabaseName' step has to match the database in Notion exactly, and the database must be shared with your Notion integration. Notes are titled with the article's own title and written under the database's title property, which the workflow assumes is called Name - change the 'titlePropertyName' step if yours is called something else.

Nothing is ever overwritten. Before filing, the workflow reads the titles already in the database and leaves an article alone if it is there, so re-running it after adding two more links files only those two. An address that will not load, or that serves a paywall or cookie page instead of the article, is reported and skipped rather than filed as an empty note.
