How it works
What happens on each run, in plain English.
Whenever a new email arrives in your Gmail inbox, the AI reads it twice: once to pull out what you actually have to do about it, and once to say what it was about. A task page is then created in your Notion database with both already on it.
Each page carries the action items as to-dos you can tick off, the summary beneath them, and the sender, the arrival time and a link back to the original email at the bottom. The title is the subject line with reply markers stripped, so the database reads as a task list rather than a second inbox. An email that asks nothing of you still gets a page, marked plainly as one with nothing to do. Long messages are trimmed before they reach the AI, and quoted reply chains are ignored.
You need a Notion database shared with your Notion integration. Narrowing the trigger to one sender or domain keeps a busy inbox from turning into hundreds of pages.
