How it works

Text your Telegram bot the way you would text yourself - "pick up the dry cleaning tomorrow at five" - and it lands in Todoist as a task, due when you said. Every message becomes a task, so point the trigger at a chat you use only for capture, such as the direct chat between you and your own bot.
The message is read by AI only to split it into the task and the timing words. What it hands back is then checked against your original message before anything is created: the task text must appear in what you actually sent, and so must the due phrase. If either does not, it is thrown away - an unrecognised due date is simply dropped, and a task that has drifted falls back to your message word for word. The result is that a Todoist task can only ever contain text you typed. The workflow never adds a deadline you did not mention.
Todoist reads the due phrase itself, so anything it understands works - tomorrow, Friday 9am, every Monday. A message with no timing in it becomes a task with no due date rather than a guessed one.
To set it up, paste the chat's ID onto the trigger step - leave it blank and every message in every chat the bot has been added to becomes a task - and put the name of the Todoist project to file into in the 'projectName' step. Inbox is a real project name and works. If no project matches, the run stops and tells you which projects the account does have rather than filing into the wrong one. Every task created is confirmed back in the chat, including the due date it was given, so you can see what was understood.
