How it works
Everything the template sets up, and what to fill in before the first run.
Works down a list of companies in a Google Sheet and, for each one it has not done before, looks the company up in Datagma's business database and appends what the record holds as columns: the name on record, industry, headcount, size band, founding year, head office, website and LinkedIn page, plus how confident the match is.
No model is involved and nothing is written from a web page or from what an AI already believes about a company. If the database does not match the company, the row says No match and every fact column is left empty - because an invented founding year is worse than an empty cell once it travels into your CRM. Looking a company up by its domain is an exact match, so fill in Domain wherever you can; a bare name is matched loosely, which is what the confidence column is there to tell you.
Your sheet needs two tabs. The tab named in 'companyTab' is your list: row 1 is a header containing a Company column and, optionally, a Domain column. Those two names are fixed - the workflow reads them by name, so renaming them stops it finding anything. The tab named in 'factsTab' is where results are appended, one row per company, in this order: Checked on, Company, Looked up as, Match, Name on record, Industry, Employees, Company size, Founded, Headquarters, Website, LinkedIn, Confidence.
Your list is never written to or reordered - results only ever go to the facts tab. Each run reads that tab first and skips every company already on it, so nobody is looked up twice and no lookup is paid for twice; if the tab cannot be read the run stops without writing anything, because at that point it cannot tell what is already done. 'maxLookups' caps how many new companies one run will look up, which is what caps what a run costs; 'maxRowsRead' caps how far down the list it reads.
Funding rounds, revenue bands and traffic figures are deliberately not fetched: Datagma bills those as separate blocks and asking for one on a plan without it fails the whole lookup rather than returning the rest.
Start from a workflow that already works.
