How it works

Everything the template sets up, and what to fill in before the first run.

Write down what you know about the business - what it does, who buys, what you charge, what it costs, who is involved, what you are aiming at - and this turns those notes into a full business plan draft in a new Google Doc. Each section is written in turn, told what has already been covered so it carries on rather than repeating itself, and appended under its own heading.

A business plan is a document people take to lenders and investors, so the whole design is built around one rule: the figures in it are yours. Nothing is calculated, forecast or valued here. The prompt forbids projections, break-even points, valuations, market sizes, growth rates and funding recommendations, forbids naming a competitor, customer or investor your notes do not name, and forbids financial, legal and tax advice. Where a sentence wants a figure you have not given, it writes [figure to add] and those gaps are listed for you at the end.

That is also checked mechanically, because an invented number reads exactly like a real one. Every run of digits in a drafted section has to appear, character for character, in your notes. If any of them does not, that section is not written at all: the page says so and the figures it tried to use are listed at the end, so you can add the real ones to your notes and run it again. A section whose drafting fails outright is reported the same way rather than quietly left out, so the count at the foot of the document always tells you what you actually have.

Fill in two steps: 'companyName' and 'businessNotes'. Worth tuning: 'sectionPlan' is the running order, one section per line - reorder it, cut it down for a one-page plan or add the sections your lender asks for - and 'maxSections' caps how many sections one run will write.

A new document is created every run, so nothing you already have is touched. What comes back is a first draft for you to work through, not advice: check every figure and take it to your own accountant or adviser before you rely on it.
