Turn one document into a study guide, a briefing and a timeline

Point this at one Google Doc - a chapter, a report, a policy, a set of minutes - and it writes three new documents into your Google Drive: a study guide, a briefing for someone with ten minutes, and a timeline of the dated events the document states.

All three are written from that one document and nothing else. The prompt tells Claude to add no outside knowledge and to say where the document is silent rather than fill the gap.

The timeline is checked mechanically as well as asked for politely, because an invented date reads exactly like a real one. Every drafted entry has to quote its date as the document writes it, and any entry whose date does not appear in the document's own text is dropped before the timeline is written; the dropped dates are listed at the foot of the page. If the document states no dates at all, the timeline page says so in as many words instead of inventing a sequence, and if no entry can be traced back the page says that too.

Fill in two steps: 'sourceDocumentLink' with the link to the document, and 'studyPackName' with what to call the set - the three new documents are named after it. Nothing is overwritten: three new documents are created every run, and the source is only ever read.

The document's text is sent to Claude through your own Anthropic connection so the three drafts can be written. Nothing else leaves your Google account. Very long documents are cut at 40,000 characters before being sent, and the workflow stops before creating anything if a draft comes back empty, so you never get a half-built set.
