How it works
Everything the template sets up, and what to fill in before the first run.
Every weekday morning this workflow reads the calls booked on your calendar for the next 24 hours, works out which company each one is with, searches the last month of news about that company, and emails you one short brief covering all of them.
The company is identified from the guest list: the first attendee whose email domain is not on your ignore list is taken to be the company you are meeting. Meeting rooms and other calendar resources are skipped, and a call with no outside guest at all - an internal sync, a focus block - is left alone rather than researched. Where two calls are with the same company you get one brief, not two.
Only calls that carry a Google Meet link are read, since those are the ones you actually dial into. Headlines are always included even if the written summary fails, and a company whose news search comes back empty is reported as such rather than quietly dropped.
Set it up by filling in 'briefRecipient' with the address the brief should go to and 'ignoredDomains' with your own company's email domain plus any personal mail domains such as gmail.com. The look-ahead window, how many calls are read, and how many headlines are fetched per company are all editable on their own steps.
