Triggers
Start a workflow when something happens in Deribit.
- Deribit price crosses a levelRuns when an instrument's mark price, such as BTC-PERPETUAL's, or an index price, such as btc_usd, crosses a level you pick: up through it, down through it, or either. A level the price is already past when the workflow is turned on waits for the price to come back across it.
Actions
Steps a workflow can run in Deribit.
- List currenciesList every currency Deribit supports, BTC, ETH, USDC and USDT first: its name, whether it counts as collateral, its yield when it earns one, and its withdrawal fee and networks. Use a code in any Currency field. No API key required.
- List instrumentsList what Deribit has listed for a currency: futures, perpetuals, options, spot pairs and combos, soonest expiry first, each with its expiry, strike, contract size, tick size, units and fees. Narrow it to one expiry or to calls or puts, or list the contracts that expired recently instead. The first future in the list is the nearest to expiry. No API key required.
- Get an instrumentGet one instrument's details: what it is, when it expires, its strike for an option, the size of a contract, the smallest order and price step, which currency it is priced, sized and settled in, and its fees. Works for expired instruments too. No API key required.
- Get a tickerGet a live snapshot of one instrument: the last, mark and index prices, the best bid and ask with their sizes and the spread, the 24-hour high, low, change and volume, and open interest. A perpetual adds its funding rate; an option adds its implied volatility and greeks, and its prices in US dollars. Each answer says which currency its prices and sizes are in. No API key required.
- Get the order bookGet the bids and asks resting on one instrument, best first, with the amount at each price and the running total, plus the spread, the mid price and the mark and index prices. Use it to see how much can trade before the price moves. No API key required.
- List market summariesGet a summary of every instrument of one kind at once: mark, bid, ask and last prices, 24-hour volume and change, open interest, and implied volatility for options or funding for perpetuals. Narrow it to one expiry for an option chain, or list the futures for the curve, sorted by volume, open interest, expiry or name. No API key required.
- List tradesList trades on one instrument, or on every instrument of a currency and kind: the latest, or those in a window of any age. Each has its time, price, size, side and the index price then, and the answer adds up what buyers and sellers took. Trades older than a day come from Deribit's history service. No API key required.
- Get price candlesGet an instrument's price over time as candles, from 1 minute to 1 day: open, high, low, close and volume for each, plus the change, high, low and volume across the window. Leave the dates empty for the latest candles, or pick a window in the past. Works for expired contracts too. No API key required.
- Get funding rate historyGet what funding cost on a perpetual, hour by hour, over a window of up to 30 days, with the total for the window as Deribit counts it and the same pace over a year. Positive funding means longs paid shorts. The last 24 hours if no dates are picked. No API key required.
- Get historical volatilityGet how much a currency's price has actually been moving: its realized volatility, yearly, in percent, hour by hour for about the last two weeks, with the latest, average, lowest and highest. Compare it with the volatility index to see whether options are dear or cheap. No API key required.
- Get the volatility index (DVOL)Get DVOL, Deribit's volatility index: how much the options market expects the currency to move over the next 30 days, yearly, in percent (the crypto counterpart of the VIX). Candles from 1 minute to 1 day over a window, with the latest value. The last week of hourly candles if left as it is. No API key required.
- Get an index priceGet a Deribit index price now, such as Bitcoin in US dollars (btc_usd): the reference price, averaged across several exchanges, that Deribit's contracts are marked and settled against, with the price they would be delivered at if they expired now. No API key required.
- Get index price historyGet a Deribit index's price over the last hour, day, two days, month or year, or its whole history, with the change, high and low across it. The points are closer together for shorter periods, from every 6 seconds to every 6 hours. No API key required.
- List delivery pricesList the prices an index's contracts were settled at when they expired, day by day, newest first (Deribit's contracts expire at 08:00 UTC). Skip the newest to page back through years of them. No API key required.
- List settlementsList settlement events, newest first: the daily 08:00 UTC settlements of futures and perpetuals, deliveries and exercises at expiry, and bankruptcies, each with the mark and index prices and the exchange-wide profit and loss. For a currency, or one instrument still listed. No API key required.
- Get trade volumesGet how much traded on Deribit, per currency, over the last 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days: futures, calls, puts and spot, each in the currency's own units. Use it for a market report or to compare weeks. No API key required.
- List announcementsList Deribit's platform announcements, newest first: new listings, maintenance, changes to indexes and rules. Each comes with its title, when it was published, whether it is marked important, and its text, as plain text and as HTML. No API key required.
- Get platform statusCheck whether Deribit is open, or locked in all or some currencies (as it is during an incident), with Deribit's own clock. The answer has plain true or false flags, so a workflow can hold off without reading text. No API key required.
- Get yield historyGet the daily yield of a yield-bearing currency held on Deribit, such as staked ETH (stETH), USDe or USDC, as a yearly percentage, newest first, with the latest and the average. No API key required.
